Biggest Regret of College?
Not saying “fuck it” often enough – and meaning it. So many of the small things we sweat on a daily basis mean so little in the grand scheme of things and yet they cause us so much stress along the way. I think there’s something about being a young 20-something that can really amplify this nonsense anxiety and once one person gets going, it can be infectious. I’ve only stopped buying into it this semester and life has been SO MUCH BETTER. There are definitely deadlines/assignments/responsibilities/relationships that are important to tend to but there are other ones that will genuinely waste your time. Don’t bother – college, and life is too short so FUCK IT.
Biggest Leap of Faith During College?
TRANSFERRING. I came to Barnard as a transfer my junior year and it was the largest leap of faith, and the most rewarding of them all. It brought me into a community I adore, gave me two of the best years, and taught me that when trying to fit a square peg into a circular hole, stop and go find a square hole instead.
