Osama Bin Laden is Dead

11:47- Reactions from former President Bush congratulating the soldiers and America. He called it a victory for everyone, especially for the American family. Also eloquently stated, “No matter how long it will take, there will be justice.”

11:44- I have to say, President Barack Obama’s speech was perfect. Just what the United States needed to here. Thank you, Mr. President for such an inspiring speech.

11:42- Giving thanks to the intelligence and the military officers for bringing about about this momentous occasion.

11:41- The President confirms that Pakistani intelligence helped in finding Bin Laden and that the Pakistani government is just as happy as the U.S. to see Bin Laden dead.

11:38- The President announces that in August 2010 there was intelligence of where Bin Laden was hiding. Last week it was confirmed, and today President Obama gave the order for the air raid. No Americans were harmed. Bin Laden’s body is in American custody.

11:37- President Obama talks about the national unity following 9/11, a very true statement. Let today be another day of unity for the United States. Thank you to everyone who helped make our country safer.


11:24- Currently, I’m sitting in the common area of my dorm with friends remembering where we were when 9/11 happened. Now, we can also tell our future children about this day, too. What a contrasting feeling between the two moments.

11:21- According to CNN, both U.S. and Pakistani forces worked together to take down Bin Laden, however, this has not been confirmed.

11:16- It’s interesting to see how every newspaper that’s online around the world is reporting on Bin Laden’s death. For example, compare The New York Times coverage to that of Al Jazeera English, based in Doha, Qatar.

11:11- People all over the country are shouting in happiness. What a great moment and uniting factor for this country. Almost ten years ago, Bin Laden tried breaking the spirit of this great country. GO USA!!!!

11:07- Learning from CNN now that Bin Laden was killed in a mansion in a Pakistan. Does this mean that he was always in Pakistan? Official confirmation now, that he is dead. What does this mean for our relationship with Pakistan?

11:05- This also means that 2012 election has unofficially been decided. Yeah, OBAMA!

11:02- Ten years we have been looking for Bin Laden. It’s a good day for America.

10:57- Waiting for the President to speak.

10:56pm, May 1, 2011- CNN reports that Osama Bin Laden is dead. What does this mean for our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq?
